Summary of the Ex-post evaluation and consultation strategy

On 21 September 2024, the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the European Union and its Member States and Canada celebrated its 7th anniversary since its provisional application. Trade Impact, a consultancy company from the Netherlands, is now carrying out the “Ex-post evaluation of the CETA between the EU and its Member States and Canada”, looking at its economic, social, environmental and human rights impact for the EU, the EU Member States and Canada. 

To effectively carry out this evaluation, Trade Impact actively gathers inputs from stakeholders and civil society in the EU Member States and Canada about how this Agreement has affected their communities and businesses. During the negotiations and ratification, discussions among and with stakeholders took place on the potential benefits of CETA and on concerns. Right now, seven years after the provisional application of the Agreement, is a good moment to tell us what you think about this Agreement and its economic, social, environmental or human rights impact.
